Overview

Cardiff City Corporation's Parks Department's film illustrates the importance of the city's green lungs for sport, strolling and play. Roath Park has its lake and lighthouse/clock tower commemorating Scott who left for the Antartic from Roath Dock in 1910. Thompson's Park has Goscombe John's bronze statue of a boy – 'Joyance', since stolen. Alexandra Gardens has the Welsh National War Memorial, and rhododendrons and waterfalls are on offer at Parc Cefn Onn.
