Cardiff City Corporation's Park's Department is proud of the varied green and open spaces on offer to the public for sport, leisure and play.

Cardiff City Corporation's Parks Department's film illustrates the importance of the city's green lungs for sport, strolling and play. Roath Park has its lake and lighthouse/clock tower commemorating Scott who left for the Antartic from Roath Dock in 1910. Thompson's Park has Goscombe John's bronze statue of a boy – 'Joyance', since stolen. Alexandra Gardens has the Welsh National War Memorial, and rhododendrons and waterfalls are on offer at Parc Cefn Onn.
