Overview

Belgrave Terrace: a small cul-de-sac off Soho Road at Handsworth in Birmingham. It typifies the process of renewal that is going on in all Britain's towns and cities. One side of the street, the 'posh' side, has been renovated: with bathrooms and all mod cons, while the other side is coming down. How do the tenants feel? Those living on the 'posh' side sense they may be the losers as reporter Tony Maycock discovers that most residents are dreaming of living elsewhere.
