Mark Jenkin’s short film is a vision of transatlantic commonality and the first film he made under his Silent Landscape Dancing Grain manifesto 13 (SLDG13), a semi-serious manifesto of 13 rules – including a stipulation that films should be realised "with a minimum of fuss". It became the blueprint for many of his shorts and future feature films.
