Overview
The Chelsea Hotel’s guest book reads like a Who’s Who of artists through the years, including names like Mark Twain, Stanley Kubrick and Madonna. Once it was a cultural haven and NYC landmark, now it is a boutique hotel where the cheapest rooms cost £400 a night. Amélie van Elmbt & Maya Duverdier’s documentary meets the hotel’s remaining long-term residents as they come to the end of a chaotic decade-long renovation and prepare for the doors to open to a different type of guest.
