Broken

A powerful drama about splintered families and warring neighbours, with a stunning debut from Eloise Laurence. With Tim Roth and Cillian Murphy.

11-year-old Skunk suffers from diabetes, and her devoted single dad Archie (Tim Roth) constantly worries about her, not least because her minder Kasia (Zana Marjanovic) is frequently distracted by boyfriend Mike (Cillian Murphy). But Skunk's seemingly blissful life is upended after she witnesses a brutal act of violence from one of her neighbours in their North London suburban cul-de-sac.

This debut feature from award-winning theatre director Rufus Norris, is a powerful drama featuring an outstanding ensemble cast. Among the familiar faces in that cast, newcomer Laurence delivers a wonderfully natural and eye-catching performance.
