A Show Called Fred Ep 5
Peter Sellers and Spike Milligan invite you to leap into your dustbin and dance in this episode of their 50s comedy show
Director: Richard Lester
Overview
Peter Sellers and Spike Milligan brought goonery to the screen with the help of dynamic director Dick Lester in this splendidly strange 1950s comedy television show, abetted by Valentine Dyall, Kenneth Connor and Graham Stark. This rare episode boasts Admiral McIdiot taking over a power station on the Isle of Scrot, and an invitation from Sellers and Milligan to "leap into a dustbin and dance".
Also featured in this episode - written by Spike Milligan and John Antrobus - are madcap musical comedy troupers The Alberts, singer Patti Lewis, and harmonica-tootling Goon Show regular Max Geldray.
