An amateur portrait of the pretty Cornish fishing village, Port Isaac, in 1930. More recently the setting for the popular ITV drama Doc Martin.
A moving image portrait of the quaint Cornish fishing village, Port Isaac. This amateur production, silent with intertitles, shows the everyday activities of the villagers, against a backdrop of narrow winding cobbled streets lined with whitewashed cottages that lead to the harbour. A place where fishermen gather - as do the seagulls; or where a painter might set down an easel, inspired by the rugged and magnificent scenery.
More recently the village has served as the backdrop to the popular ITV drama series Doc Martin starring Martin Clunes.
