Overview
This film opens on a sign of Lawrence Campe Close, significant because Laurence Campe, a draper's merchant in the 17th century, funded many almhouses in the area. In his spirit, other new social housing sites are seen in development, one of which is opened by members of the local clergy and Graham Leonard, Bishop of London. Closing scenes show streets, schools and businesses around Brunswick Park.
This film is from the collection of Barnet Local Studies and Archives, a member of the London's Screen Archives Network.
