Villagers take control through Community TV initiative
Community Television comes to Lohore and the villagers take control to voice their views to camera and produce their own report about Loxhore and the difference between town and country living.
Originally divided into Upper and Lower, Lochesore and Lockeshore, the small village of Loxhore near Barnstaple has a small population. It is surrounded by neighbouring parishes of Arlington, Bratton Fleming and Shirwell. The manor of Loxhore once owned by the de Meulles and Beaumont families was a double manor and one of the largest fiefdoms in Devon according to the Domesday Book of 1086. Loxhore was named Devon's Calor Gas Village of the Year in 2006.
