Severn Bore

With the water levels rising on a miserable March day in 1980 the villagers of Minsterworth prepare to face the Severn bore.

Through the rain and sleet the River Severn tidal bore looks even more threatening than usual, although some brave (or foolhardy) canoeists seem prepared to take the risk and ride the muddy wall of surf.
