People come on foot, by bus and by train to the regional eisteddfod held, this year, in Amlwch and presided over by Anglesey’s Arch-druid Llew Llwydiarth (W Charles Owen).

Overview
Anglesey’s Chair Eisteddfod, held this year in Amlwch, is recorded by David E Sutcliffe, a Bull Bay-based BBC stringer and local cinema operator. It includes footage of a procession, a Gorsedd ceremony presided over by the regional Arch-druid Llew Llwydiarth (W Charles Owen, Lion of Llywdiarth), and the arrival of people by train and their gathering on the Eisteddfod field. It concludes with a shot of a poster advertising the next year's Eisteddfod, to be held in Holyhead.
A ‘stringer’ was a freelancer used by a television company to provide footage of events/activities – or sudden news stories – from his/her particular area. Sutcliffe, as stringer, was here recording the regional eisteddfod, an annual event with its own, independent Gorsedd. Llew Llwydiarth [the Lion of Llwydiarth] is seen inducting new members into the Gorsedd of Bards of Anglesey.
