A promotional film for the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology, introducing the city to aspiring students. Reel 1 shows the city centre, the docks and Ship Canal, Alderley Edge and a distant view of Jodrell Bank. In Reel 2, we look inside and outside the university buildings - busy places over 50 years ago, and today part of the largest academic campus in Europe.
