Overview
This is eerie silent footage of west London streets – Walmer Street, Dulford Street, Pottery Lane, Treadgold Street – in a deprived area that awaited partial demolition for the construction of access routes to the Westway and is now one of London’s richest neighbourhoods. Features extraordinary shots of shops, cars, churches, schools, residents and general street life. Filmed by a local man, Barry Cheese, who wished to capture the area before everything changed.
