Drinking chocolate flashes before your eyes and makes an offer you can't refuse
Food Flashes were short and punchy films produced by the Ministry of Food to share information with the cinema-going public. Key facts were communicated in a succinct and snappy fashion in the hope that the advice would be efficiently absorbed by viewers. The short length and exclusive use of dramatic text make this a somewhat atypical but nonetheless engaging Food Flash. It aimed to promote a nationwide campaign which offered a cup of milk cocoa in the workplace to all young people under 21.
This government film is a public record, preserved and presented by the BFI National Archive on behalf of The National Archives, home to more than 1,000 years of British history.
