Ernest Gough, proprietor of Maindy Garage, Cardiff and owner of a fleet of buses, takes his camera on a tour organised for a group of merry men from Mountain Ash.
This trip, undertaken by a group of prominent men from Mountain Ash, was organised by Ernest Gough, proprietor of Maindy Garage and owner of a fleet of buses. Mr Gough went along for the ride, carrying his camera, thus putting paid to the unwritten pact that "what goes on tour stays on tour". There are stops in Llandeilo and Pumsaint and the reel includes footage of a river boat outing and a carnival in Mountain Ash.
Ernest Gough's wife, Beatrice V Gough, sang with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company. Marriage put an end to her singing professionally but she continued performing in the many amateur companies in the Cynon Valley and Cardiff and was a founder member of the then amateur Welsh National Opera Company.
