Overview
This London Olympiades’ Championship meeting in Mitcham includes two great performances by Hilda Hatt, one of Britain’s first great female athletes. Hatt destroys the field in the 80-metre hurdles before winning the high jump, leaping feet first as was the style then. Also impressing is Louise Fawcett in the discus. The London Olympiades were the UK’s first all-female athletics club.
