H.R.H. The Prince of Wales
Great evocative shots from a boggy Upton Park, where West Ham play Tottenham in front of the Prince Of Wales.
From the collection of:

Overview
The Prince of Wales – the future Edward VIII – is the guest of honour at this London derby held between West Ham and Tottenham to raise funds for the British Legion. The prince is shown entering the ground but the bulk of the footage is of the game itself. And what splendid footage it is, featuring passes, tackles and goalmouth scrambles. It’s enhanced by the fact the match is played on a mud patch, which the players navigate impressively, albeit with the occasional slip.
