Overview
Produced by a professional council filmmaker, this film captures the jubilant atmosphere in Upton Park, home of West Ham United, after their 1975 FA Cup success. The narrator reminisces about recent changes and developments in Newham, followed by a brief view of the borough's new municipal offices. Then it's back to the Boleyn Ground, where, led by mounted police, the team buses slowly weave through the flag-waving crowds of fans cheering and chanting the club's anthem.
This film is from the collection of Newham Local History Resource Centre.
