It may be the start of the 1970s but Emily Hadley of Tipton would still rather do her washing the old fashioned way: armed with dolly stick, tub and mangle.

By 1970 washing clothes by hand in your backyard while singing a little ditty was a rare activity. So rare in fact that ATV Today reporter Gwyn Richards was sent to meet Emily Hadley at her Tipton home to see why she still does it. Turns out that her hands stay wonderfully soft - so that's alright then! Seems as though the new ways are not always the best.
