An independent charity and company based at the University of Lincoln, MACE acquires, catalogues, preserves and makes widely available moving image materials that inform our understanding of the diverse cultures and histories of communities between the Lincolnshire coast and the Welsh border.

Overview
Village policeman Mick Newbold from North Luffenham is struggling to survive on his Ј41 a week take home pay but fighting his corner is his wife Kathleen who will be leading a demonstration in London of 'policemen's wives'. Kathleen and Mick talk to ATV Today reporter Bev Smith about the plight of the village police officer.
North Luffenham was officially in Leicestershire when this film was made. Rutland had ceased to exist in April 1974 and did not regain its county status until 1997.
