Silver Jubilee Celebrations at Lindfield.

Lindfield puts on an ambitious display in this film recording its Silver Jubilee celebrations; from tree-planting, pipe bands, Space Hoppers and It's A Knockout.

Lindfield's Silver Jubilee festivities get off to a loud start with an announcement from the Town Crier, a pipe band and a peal of church bells. Then we see the unveiling of a new village sign and hear reminiscences from one of its oldest inhabitants. An open air service and tree-planting follows and then the real fun begins. Sack races, juvenile Morris dancers and an exploding anvil lead to a Grand Carnival procession and Lindfield's own version of It's A Knockout.
