Luton's Jubilee
Hat's off to Luton for pulling out all the stops as residents celebrate its 50th anniversary of becoming a municipal borough.
Overview
This charming film captures a magnificent welling of town pride in a series of events marking Luton's 50 years as a municipal borough. It's hard to believe that this is the same town that saw riots on 'Peace Day' just seven years earlier, or would top a 'Crap Towns' poll in 2004. The informal filming style paired with the superb quality of the 35mm film image really adds to the film's charisma.
