        Overview

Luton Amateur Cine Club capture the town’s centenary celebrations throughout 1976. The year kicks off with a jazz ball, and follows with a Spring bank holiday cycle race and Victorian Fair where an estimated 100,000 people cram into George Street. 2000 watts of amplification attracts a large audience to St Mary’s church for a Christian rock music festival. The year’s activities conclude with a Folk Festival and a ceilidh with music by folk group ‘Flowers and Frolics’.
