Overview

Perhaps the most revered of all Lucio Fulci's gialli (murder mysteries), this psychedelic thriller follows a young woman plagued by dreamlike hallucinations who's accused of killing her neighbour.

Co-starring British cinema stalwart Stanley Baker, and set against a Swinging London backdrop, Fulci's psycho-sexual chiller is a macabre treat, with hypnotic visuals and a haunting Ennio Morricone score. Cult director Fulci remains best known in the UK for his notorious zombie films such as The Beyond, but was a versatile director who traversed multiple genres across a five-decade career. Lead star Florinda Bolkan was something of a trailblazing lesbian actress in her era, openly living with her partner Countess Marina Cicogn for over 20 years while starring in acclaimed films by Luchino Visconti, Vittorio De Sica and Elio Petri.
