Harpenden's Wonderful Milk Supply
A local film for local people, this charming advert for Harpenden Dairy Ltd would have been shown in cinemas in and around Harpenden, Hertfordshire. A typical example of the kind of advertising that was used to promote local businesses in the 30s.
Overview
Harpenden Dairies Ltd, formerly located at 15 Station Road, no longer exists. At the time of filming Station Road was the main artery of the town, accommodating the railway station and an array of shops. Bendish, where the cows are shown grazing contentedly, is a few miles from Harpenden and has been retained as part of an area of outstanding natural beauty.
