Jane Powell and Debbie Reynolds lead an all-star cast in this memorable maritime musical.

This all-star adaptation of Vincent Youmans' smash musical tells the story of a sailor (Russ Tamblyn) who enlists his two friends (Tony Martin and Vic Damone) to help save his sister's virtue (Jane Powell). The great choreographer Hermes Pan staged the musical numbers, which include enduring standards such as Sometimes I'm Happy.

Youmans' original musical was itself based on a stage play by Hubert Osborne, Shore Leave, was also adapted by RKO into another, entirely different musical by Irving Berlin, Follow the Fleet (1936).
