Steam trains pass at speed through Wood Green station on the Great Northern Line
This nicely photographed film, printed from a pristine 60mm negative, looks as good as it must have done to audiences in the 1890s. It may have been shot by John or EP Prestwich: an entry in the Prestwich catalogue for 1898 mentions a film subject called Railway Traffic, with local, goods and express trains - which describes this film well.
