Overview
This drill doesn’t just draw the attention of the camera, a large crowd have come to watch as well. Although we can’t be entirely accurate on the dating of this piece of film, military displays were commonplace towards the end of the Victorian era and were a favoured subject of early filmmakers. No other medium could capture the movement and synchronicity of the soldiers so well.
