Gosport: Camper and Nicholson Boatyard
Double-take of a giant yacht launched from Gosport dockyards into a bustling sea
Overview
There's an alarming moment in this film where it appears that this magnificent new yacht is going to sink straight into the water. The savvy filmmakers went to the extent of filming the launch from two angles, but rather than cross cut the two films, they are simply spliced back to back. So on its repeat descent you can really appreciate the great height from which it slopes into the busy water - clearly an event that attracted much local attention.
