Floating Tractor

Filmed in the fenland of Norfolk, a promotional demonstration of an experimental conversion kit for a standard farm tractor.

A normal farm tractor can be converted to one with large tank wheels for working on marshy ground, suitable for the commercial harvesting of reeds. Designed by RT Page of Page Hunton Ltd of Thetford, the conversion kit is shown to the camera. A conventional tractor is seen in difficulties in wet ground. The floating tractor is filmed negotiating the same ground. The tractor also crosses a lake where it demonstrates how the back wheels can be independently controlled.
