Pleasureland, Southport
Gentle thrills on the North West coast - a fun day out for everyone, without getting a hair or whisker out of place.

Overview
Opened in 1913 as a sister amusement park to Blackpool's Pleasure Beach, this is Pleasureland in its first decade of operation. The rides may seem tame by today's thrill-seeking standards, and the carload of smartly dressed folk on the wooden rollercoaster have little difficulty hanging on to their hats, but this is enough excitement for the visitors seen here, happily trying out the attractions.
