Carnival of the Queens 1937

Staffordshire's carnival queens unite in Hanley Park to support the local hospital.

Carnival queens from across Staffordshire are seen in this colourful reel shot in Hanley Park in 1937. From Sneyd Green and Stockton Brook to Silverdale and Kidsgrove it's a big day out for all involved. The event, which was held in August 1937, was a fundraiser for the local North Staffordshire Royal Infirmary.
