From Debuts to Classics: National Lottery at 30
This breathtaking list of UK films, shows the range of stories National Lottery funding has financed over the last 30 years. We are proud to support bold and original storytellers, awarding National Lottery funding to champion powerful debuts as well as established filmmakers.
The BFI invests National Lottery funding into developing and supporting filmmakers with diverse, bold and distinctive projects that have cultural relevance or progressive ideas. We support the development of more than 100 feature films each year, and the production of a further 30 including documentaries through our partnership with Doc Society.
The National Lottery has funded the making of more than 600 films in the past 30 years, which have won an incredible 551 awards including 16 Oscars, 128 BAFTAs and 34 Cannes awards.
