Overview

Moving from the age of austerity into a bright new era of test tube marvels and post-war potential, ICI on Teesside, home of the world famous Perspex, celebrates with a tour of the old and the new at its great chemical city on Teesside. As work begins on the new Wilton site a great adventure, a great experiment this sophisticated promotion also looks at the oldest of the ICI plants with salt-making at Haverton Hill, the 1930s Nylon plant and the old Grange farmhouse.
