Unidentified Park (c.1900)
An expectant crowd gathers for a Victorian public performance.
Overview
So far it hasn't been possible to identify the location of this film. But it's interesting to see how it teasingly builds a basic suspense narrative through its use of a circular pan. The largely seated crowd is looking at something other than the camera - but what? All is revealed at the end, as a brass band comes into frame, and starts marching just after the leader is revealed.
