Overview

Built in 1930 at King's Lynn for Harry Eastick, and named after his daughter, the Lydia Eva, is the very last steam drifter, moored at Hall Quay at Yarmouth in 1991. This film, produced by the East Anglian Film Archive's first Director, David Cleveland, is about the drifter and the aims for preservation. It is a record and tangible reminder of Yarmouth's past, that features Jimmy May one of the vessel's crew, and Mrs. Lydia Eva Cox, nee Eastwick, speaking about her namesake.
