The Late Queen's Visit to Dublin: Royal Procession Entering the City Gates
In Dublin, the crowds go wild for a rare glimpse of Queen Victoria as she enters the city in spectacular style
Overview
This procession is so elaborate, with scores of soldiers in dress uniforms on horseback and a brass band too, that you might just miss the main event - Queen Victoria herself. Look out for the excitement in the crowd when the Queen finally appears, though: the people of Dublin begin waving their handkerchiefs and hats in the air. Cecil Hepworth has positioned his camera at a high vantage point, so that he can film the procession, the city gates and a good view of the crowd all in one setup.
