The Kid from Canada
A ripping yarn on horseback: Andy and his Scottish cousins mix their competitive spirit with friendship to save the day.
Overview
Who needs a bike when you can have a horse? More at ease with animals than with other children, Andy reluctantly accepts a trip to Scotland to stay with a distant uncle. Despite the initial antagonism, he and his cousins realise they have a lot in common after all and join forces to save a man's life in treacherous conditions. It's a joy to watch the kids ride with such ease and take so much pleasure from it - and the story isn't bad either. Excellent fare from the Children's Film Foundation.
