The Bonnie Bells of Scotland
Afore ye go... enjoy this charming promo for a famous blended Scotch.
Overview
Afore ye go... take a moment to sample a relaxing promo for one of Scotland's great exports. Bell's blended Scotch "brings mellow friendship to every corner of the world" and the film is itself a mellow blend of traditional ingredients: travelogue, history lesson and detailed industrial documentary, taking us from barley field to bar. As brand films go, it's leisurely and quaint even for 1951 - and therein lies its charm.
Dufftown Glenlivet, Inchgower and Blair Athol are all cited as distilleries contributing their single malts to Bell's blend. Today, Blair Athol remains at the heart of the blend, with Inchgower and Dufftown both still prominent in the mix alongside Glenkinchie and Caol Ila.
