The Arlberg Railway

If you suffer from altitude sickness look away now - if not, take the scenic route over the Arlberg Pass in Austria

Overview

Some phantom rides are scarier than others. Placing the film camera on a moving vehicle offers the perfect viewpoint for a variety of landscapes, but the ascents and plummeting pathways of the Arlberg Railway in Austria are not for the faint-hearted. Built between 1883 and 1884, the railway from Bludenz to Innsbruck was part of the original route of the Orient Express.
