Overview
This filmed diary of 1963 provides us with a charming look back at life in the Worcestershire town of Tenbury Wells. Beginning with a drive through the snow of one of the worst winters on record it features the year's major events. It's the details that stand-out: the lavish fancy dress costumes, the W. I. covering their stalls as the rain begins to fall during a typical British summer and can you spot the Tide washing powder promotion complete with white-suited salesman?
The reel is one of a number of local items produced by George Kendrick who ran a small photographic business in Tenbury Wells as well as a bakery and cafe.
