Marching bands and a floral pram parade mark the highlight of Hinckley's Sunday School calendar.

Overview
Walking past the Leicestershire and Warwickshire Electric Power Company offices on Upper Bond Street in the Leicestershire town of Hinckley we see a group of Sunday School children. It's July 1939 so the homemade banners calling for 'Joy Through Peace' have an added poignancy two months before the outbreak of war. Decorated prams and marching bands feature in this charming snapshot of pre-war life filmed by Hinckley resident Miss Lovis Toone.
