Nylon Stockings
A shake up for the stocking industry as seamless nylons begin to take over from the fully fashioned look that had dominated since the war.
From the collection of:

Overview
Outside the Bennett Brothers hosiery factory in Hinckley reporter Pat Astley stops a group of woman to ask, "Can I have a word with you about stockings?" Seamless nylons are the new craze (in New York anyway, Hinckley is possibly lagging in the fashion stakes) but many women are still keen on their fully fashioned look. Astley also talks to Mr Bennett from the firm as early signs of the industry's slow decline gather on the horizon.
