Overview
This ILEA series was made for primary schools encouraging young children to notice the world around them. Many scenes are shot in parts of London (Wandsworth is named in the credits), showing a variety of different workers on London streets. We meet a hard-working sweeper, a friendly policeman and some roadbuilders – the presenter advises children to watch the latter process as it’s very interesting, demonstrating a pleasingly open approach to urban childrearing.
