With a fairground carousel to entertain the children and huge bouquets for the adults, this film shows an official ceremony in the celebrated Spitalfields covered market. People pose for photographs and a man is given a huge hand of bananas. The visitors, in Sixties fashions, continue to mingle and pose in front of large colourful displays of fruit and vegetables.
