Sister Dolores
Spend a day with Sister Dolores and discover the creative potential of the County Down coastline.

Overview
What passions and hobbies are hidden in the convent? Sister Dolores loves collecting shells along the shores of Rostrevor. Scallops, cockles or otter shells - only the scampering butterflies and the sound of the sea are her regular companions while she searches for her material. Dolores with childlike excitement uses her craft to transform shells of various shapes and colours into animals and arrangements of all sorts for Ulster Television’s viewers.
These rushes are from Spectrum, a fortnightly programme on Ulster Television that brought Northern Irish arts matters to a local audience for half an hour from 1971-1988. This material is courtesy of the UTV archive.
