Overview
The film begins with some of the festivities of the Addiscombe Silver Jubilee Carnival in 1977 in Ashburton Park, Croydon. The carnival fun gets into gear with a motorcycle and equestrian display from the world renowned Royal Signal Corps display team – the White Helmets, culminating in a spear-off competition! The Sea Cadets and Kent Carolettes majorette troupe parade across the show ground. The rainy weather fails to dampen the crowds enthusiasm for the musical acts!
This film is from the collection of Headstone Manor Museum, a member of the London's Screen Archives Network.
