Overview

In 1977 The Queen's Silver Jubilee was marked with celebrations throughout the country. Home movie maker Keith Bullock filmed the festivities of his own village, Cotton in Suffolk. The parishioners begin the day with a visit to St Andrews church, followed by an afternoon of fun – fairground rides, apple bobbing, tug o’ war – the villagers really let their hair down, working up an appetite, which is catered for at the village hall with an evening finger buffet and barbeque.
