Overview
Speeches are made by men, flowers are presented to a lady and the Royal Welsh Show is then officially open. R G Iles, who lived in Cardiff and was a founder member of The South Wales and Monmouthshire Agricultural and Horse Shows Association, regularly filmed local shows and this is believed to be footage (brief) of the Royal Welsh Show either in Caernarfon in 1952 or Cardiff in 1953 (stockdate is 1952). Foresters are seen at work and the presence of BBC cameras noted.
