        Overview

The River Dart Raft Race or Struggle as it has become known is a crazy raft race which takes place annually on the Devon river. The course starts from the Dart Meadow in Buckfastleigh and terminates in Totnes. The race combines bumpy rides through white water and down fast-flowing weirs with stretches of calm river over a distance of fourteen kilometres.

Local businesses and Totnessians are involved in this great team-building exercise and it pulls in the crowds as you have to design, create and build your raft complete with costumes and themes and then compete to the finish line. The annual River Dart Raft Race is organised by the Rotary Club of Totnes and all proceeds go to local charities.
